Hehe, so I finally got around to doing some warriors fanart. and I decided to do bluestar, with a test of complex backgrounds, im not particularly proud of this peice, so if somone could give me a few pointers as to were I can improve, I would be forever grateful!
And you may have noticed, I did this in more of an anime style, rather than realitic.

and im sorry to everyone who is waiting for art from me, I sorta got distracted and decided to do some personal art, hope nobody minds!

To start off, this is a great drawing. It's obvious that you are doing various things in this such as the water, grass, and especially the playfulness of the cat itself. Bluestar seems like she's just having fun, which is a good thing to convey, even if a little OOC. Yet, every cat can slip away and have a little fun in the water. Speaking of the water, while it does seem a little dull in color and slightly more blurred than would be natural, it is still wonderful since it is curved and crooked instead of straight and the texture on it makes it stand out a little. The grass, as previously stated, could use some work but it does look moderately natural, and every little thing counts. I'm sure you've heard enough about the tree, but while it does look blurry, it's nice how you added both light and dark colors to it, just try making them more random rather than scale like and you'd be surprised how great it'll turn out. Finally, the cat herself looks fine anatomically, the only things I can really say are to work on the colors, making them all follow the same light source and more "fur"-like (which is also something I struggle with), make the lineart less pointy, and have the eye be more cat-like instead of anime-like. Then, after you just round of a few things like the paws and shoulder, you'll have a completely amazing drawing on your hands. Now, I do give you credit for doing this with a mouse, so for that you should pat yourself on the back. It's just simple things that you need to work on at this point, you already have the major details taken care of

Bluestar seems like a young leader, being very childish of herself by sticking her paw in the water, almost as if she wanted a day to herself.
Her fur does seem to be a bit too furry, since she is a kinda thin-haired cat. Her eye is perfect, having the best amount of shine.
The tree does seem a bit blurry, I don't know if you have a specific reason for that, but the grass is perfect also.
The water is perfectly shaded, showing the waves perfectly.

IT IS INCREDIBLY AWESOME! Bluestar will always be the best leader in the world.

I love how you did the shading and the river. It's magnificent and beautiful. But maybe I could point out that the river looks a little bit blurry. And if that is a tree, perhaps it should produce a shade on the river and the cat depending on the sun's angle. Other than that, it's lovely.}
