Small Feature Contest I. ( CLOSED )I know that my other contest just ended, but i wanted to do that for a while :meow:
Your Task : produce a Feature about the theme ( easy right? :la: )
Theme : Colours
Prize :
50 :points: and a Feature by me

A brief history of FellaWe all know Fella. If you have been a member of deviantArt for at least 1 day it's quite probable you've encountered him at least once, he's everywhere! And this shouldn't come as a surprise, he's dA's mascot after all! But how much do you know about him? Let's take a look at a Brief History of deviantART's mascot.

Fella was brought to life thanks to `switched, who designed him back in April 2001 for a mascot contest.
Back then he didn't look exactly as we know him today, his figure was a lot more basic and circular and his expression wasn't as human as we're used to today. However his main features remain, his mischievous look and his colors, most probably based on the site layout's at the time

At long last, the day has come. After 3 weeks of nominations and another 3 weeks of voting, the polls are closed, the ballots have been counted, and `Krissi001 and `Mirz123 are here to announce the winners of the 2012 Emote Award.!
Before we get to the winners, though, we'd like to comment on a question that was raised during the voting process. There was some concern that a few of the "newcomers" actually posted their first emoticon before January 1, 2012.  In previous years, the Emote Awards were done on an erratic schedule, from a date in December to another date in December. Our goal this year was to get the awards on a full January 1 - December 31 calendar. As a result, there were a few newcomers that fell into the gray area between the last awards and the new January date. In the spirit of fairness, we allowed those couple of emoticonists to compete, since we did not feel it right

You are all amazing, but I will have to stop accepting requests, due to the amount increasing so rapidly. I chose the longer time since I did not expect it to gain such a popularity. I will still feature everyone on the 19th, I will not move that date. But as of this moment, new requests will not be accepted. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. I just went through my entire watchlist to see if there was anything I'd like to send for you to feature, but they're all doing very well and have more than 100 watchers. And now I feel so awkward for only having 20... But this is a great idea! I try to do features ever now and then, but they can be difficult to put together. Thank you for doing this!

yes, which is why I plan on doing a feature like this agian sometime(probably not for awhile though, cause it took me a long time to put this feature together)
